Boston, MA
Job Type
Full-Time

Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT) (a company found by Hari Balakrishnan and me) is looking to hire folks to help train a new foundation model over sensor data. We serve millions of drivers and log billions of trips, generating petabytes of high-fidelity time-series data. We’re pretraining a self-supervised, multimodal time-series foundation model on this corpus to learn transferable representations for crash prediction, anomaly detection, and other driver-safety tasks. This is a novel type of foundation model, so we need to answer a number of fundamental questions. We're looking for someone to help us address core modeling choices—designing pretraining objectives, improving contrastive/masked tasks, and shaping evaluation—and ship a model that runs globally. They’ll have access to ample compute, world-class data, and strong engineering partners. We support publishing when it advances the field and the mission.
