I am honored to lead CSAIL Alliances during this incredible moment in time, when the rate of technological innovation is faster than at anytime in our entire history. Our mission here is simple: to serve as the bridge between MIT’s most ambitious research and the organizations ready to deploy those innovations in the real world.
For over 60 years, MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) has been at the forefront of computing, bringing revolutionary technologies to the global stage. As MIT’s largest research lab, we represent a vibrant community of over 1,700 people—including 130 Principal Investigators and 1,200 students—all working within an innovative ecosystem that has birthed more than 500 startups.
What makes CSAIL unique is our unparalleled reach. Our researchers come from all five MIT schools, ten different academic departments, and the Schwarzman College of Computing. This interdisciplinary melting pot includes nine MacArthur Fellows and ten Turing Award winners. As our Director, Professor Daniela Rus, often notes: “CSAIL researchers imagine and build the future by developing fundamental new technologies and conducting basic research that furthers the field of computing and its applications.”
CSAIL Alliances provides the gateway to this ecosystem. We offer organizations a direct connection to our researchers, students, and emerging technologies, as well as new startups and our world-class professional education programs. At CSAIL, we don't just think about the future; we build it alongside our global collaborators.
There are several pathways to join this vibrant community, and I invite you to partner with us in making that future a reality.

Sincerely,
Glenn Wong, PhD
