Description: Skyline Nav AI, Inc. is a well-funded, commercially successful scale-up focused on revolutionizing visual navigation technology as an alternative to GPS, for our commercial and military customers. We are seeking highly motivated and hungry recent graduates (Bachelor's/Master's/PhD's) who are passionate about computer vision, robotics and AI to join our team.

As a R&D Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and productionizing computer vision algorithms and machine learning models to help our technology achieve high-accuracy visual navigation. This includes developing new algorithms, as well as optimizing existing methods for real-time use on edge-devices.

Requirements:

1. Candidate must be a US citizen, eligible for US Department of Defense Security Clearance

2. B.S./M.S./Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field

3. Strong programming skills in Python and C++

4. Proficient working with computer vision and machine learning concepts

5. Ability to work in fast-paced dynamic startup environment

Preferred:

- Experience with visual navigation or similar technologies

- Knowledge of drones and autonomous vehicle systems

  • Typically, Bachelors, Masters, or PhD degree in Data Science, Predictive Analytics, Business Analytics, Business Intelligence & Analytics, Applied Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Industrial, Agricultural, etc.), Information Systems Management, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree.
  • Typically, 8+ years of professional experience utilizing quantitative analysis, or a Master’s degree and 6+ years of experience, or a PhD and 2+ years of experience in relevant experience.
  • Experience with advanced data analysis and statistical methods such as regression, hypothesis testing, ANOVA, statistical process control, etc.
  • Practical applications of machine learning techniques such as Clustering, Logistic Regression, CART, Random Forests, SVM or Neural Networks.
  • Experience in design / development of heavy equipment (ex. automotive, aerospace, engine, transmission, construction, mining, industrial, etc)
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills and evidence of continuous learning in the analytics field

At Narratize, you will oversee the entire technology lifecycle, aligning the technology strategy with the business goals and vision, and helping us deliver a first in its class AI platform for innovations. In this role you will:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive software and systems architecture to support the company's goals and objectives.
  • Drive innovation in the application of generative AI platforms, including NLP, industry and domain-specific models, and workflows tailored to the unique needs of our clients.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of software engineering systems to support data analysis, modeling activities, and AI development.
  • Closely collaborate with organization leadership to align engineering systems, features, and capabilities to both the product and technology strategies: ensuring seamless integration of cutting-edge technology into product development and innovation processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging technology to drive business value and inform decision-making.
  • Engage directly in software development activities and other activities needed to implement the technology strategy and architecture.   
  • Build, lead and mentor a team of software engineers over time, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and ownership in alignment with Narratize’s values. 
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in software engineering and building solutions on AI and gen AI platforms, identifying opportunities for applying emerging technologies to ensure our platform delivers value and remains at the forefront of innovation.
  • Communicate key insights and technological advancements to stakeholders across the organization to drive date-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy and security regulations, implementing best practices for data governance and technology management in AI-driven content generation.

What We’re Looking For

  • Significant experience ( 7+ years) in software architecture and personally building digital products from early-stage through to scaling and maturity, displaying proactive leadership and problem-solving skills. 
  • Deep knowledge of full-stack modern development practices (ex: DevOps, APIs) and practical application of knowledge in product development.
  • Ability to think strategically, holistically, and architecturally about how generative AI and predictive analytics can be used to drive business value, with relentless focus on the end customer and how we are solving their problems.
  • Possesses strong business acumen, capable of making decisions that align with the broader business context and requirements. 
  • Comfortable collaborating, debating, and committing to decisions with colleagues and leadership.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

What We’d Also Love to Find 

  • Expertise in machine learning, statistical analysis, and data mining techniques, with hands-on experience building, training, fine-tuning, and deploying predictive models, including transformer-based LLMs.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets, and knowledge of data management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of two years managing, mentoring, and inspiring engineering teams. 
  • Previous oversight of department budget, with clear objectives, results, and aligned budget and project progress.

Job Description:

As a Machine Learning Research Scientist at Metaphysic, you will be instrumental in advancing the boundaries of AI-driven content creation while upholding our unwavering commitment to ethical AI practices, particularly in the domain of Hyperrealistic Content Generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cutting-Edge Research: Lead innovative research initiatives in the field of artificial intelligence, with a focus on advancing AI applications in Hyperrealistic Content Generation, including but not limited to body swaps, face swaps, and deepfakes.
  • Model Development: Drive the development of state-of-the-art deep learning models for Hyperrealistic Content Generation, harnessing the power of PyTorch and other relevant tools.
  • Publication and Collaboration: Contribute to the scientific community through publication in renowned conferences and journals. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AI technologies into various applications, such as virtual and augmented reality.
  • Coding Excellence: Demonstrate your coding prowess by creating clean, efficient, and well-documented code for implementing and optimizing machine learning models. Leverage Python and data science libraries to achieve exceptional results.
  • Model Evaluation: Rigorously evaluate model performance, fine-tune algorithms, and ensure the robustness and efficiency of AI applications in real-world scenarios.

 

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Hold a Ph.D. or equivalent in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Machine Learning, or Data Science, accompanied by a strong research foundation.
  • Fundamental Knowledge: Demonstrate a profound grasp of the fundamentals and the latest developments in relevant areas of machine learning, deeplearning, and generative AI.
  • Extensive Experience: Possess over 5 years of hands-on experience in ML research and ML systems. Experience with Generative AI techniques, such as GANs, Auto Encoders, Transformers, and Diffusion Models for Image or video Generation.
  • Deep Learning Mastery: Exhibit profound expertise in deep learning, encompassing a comprehensive understanding of neural network architectures, optimization techniques, and advanced training methodologies, including clip-stable diffusion models, and their role in advancing the field of Hyperrealistic Content Generation.
  • Coding Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in Python. Possess familiarity with key data science libraries (NumPy, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn, Pandas, PyTorch or Tensorflow).
  • Research Experience: Be well-versed in the field of Data Centric AI and data augmentation techniques, particularly in the time series domain.
  • Innovation Enthusiasm: Display a passion for pushing the boundaries of technology, applying research to real-world scenarios, and driving creative AI solutions in Hyperrealistic Content Generation.
