Are you a member of CSAIL starting a new venture? Don’t go at it alone.
Set out on the Startup Success Journey! Bring the innovative ideas—we’ll be your guides and provide support and resources along the way. We even offer snacks!
CSAIL Alliances has a special track just for companies actively spinning out of CSAIL. We provide structure, guidance, and networking, as well as valuable pitch and funding opportunities.
Complete the Startup Success Journey by attending at least one of each stop on the journey. Graduates of the program receive hands-on venture development with the help of our CSAIL Alliances members, as well as an opportunity to be on the main-stage of our biggest event of the year—the CSAIL Alliances Annual Meeting.
Interested in learning more about what it takes to spin out a venture? Office hours are open to anyone with an idea. Learn about our program and what it can offer you and the CSAIL community. Sign up for a session with Client Relations Coordinator Christiana Kalfas, MIT Startup Ecosystem members, and Corporate Startup Experts to get started.
Ideas may differ, but experiences in entrepreneurship remain consistent. Learn from fellow entrepreneurs, former grad students, and our established CSAIL Alliances members (both startups and corporate) about obstacles that may come up and how to best prepare.
Need idea validation? Want to learn from our corporate members about what pressing interests and problems to solve are at top of mind? Take advantage of our vast portfolio of members who are eager to connect with our CSAIL community.
Spinning out can be daunting, so why not get some help? Our Legal Bootcamp (during IAP!) is designed with the MIT Venture Mentoring Service to provide the resources you need to spin out your venture, detail the steps to take to become an entity, and cover important considerations for taking this next big step.
The NSF has established a node right here at MIT to help fund entrepreneurs. Attend a Non-Dilutive Funding event in the Stata Center to hear about how you can receive these funds to grow your venture.

Imagine being able to pitch your idea to a room of people who want to help you… this is it! VC breakfasts and pitch events are offered each semester. Sign up for a slot to pitch your ideas and asks to a room of our CSAIL Alliances members (corporate and VC), MIT Startup ecosystem resources, and curated resource guests.
Our CSAIL Alliances member portfolio contains corporations and VC Funds. Our vetted VCs are excited to interact with the CSAIL community and to show what a healthy VC-venture relationship should look like. We created the Anti-Shark Tank to dispel any preconceived notions on VC’s and offer an honest discussion on what VC’s look for.
This is the big event! After completing the Startup Success journey, you should be prepared to maximize the significant opportunities at this three-day meeting: networking with our full portfolio of CSAIL Alliances members, talking to our researchers, pitching at the event, hosting a booth at our innovators expo, and more!
