MIT CSAIL is excited to announce the CSAIL Forum, a new weekly event series created to inspire conversation, share insights, and shape the future of computer science and artificial intelligence.
Every Tuesday from 12–1pm ET the CSAIL Forum will spotlight leading researchers and visionaries as they tackle today’s most pressing questions and tomorrow’s most promising opportunities. Each session will include a 30–40 minute talk followed by an opportunity for Q&A, encouraging participants to challenge assumptions, explore new ideas, and engage across disciplines.
This spring’s lineup features renown speakers from across CSAIL:
- April 15 – Associate Professor Phillip Isola - Registration required
- April 22 – Assistant Professor Yoon Kim
- April 29 – No Forum (Join us for the 2025 CSAIL Alliances Annual Meeting!)
- May 6 – Assistant Professor Manish Raghavan
- May 13 – Professor Josh Tenenbaum
- May 20 – Professor Dina Katabi
To make these conversations accessible to all, each talk will be recorded and shared on YouTube. Whether you're a student, researcher, or curious listener, the CSAIL Forum invites you to tune in, bring bold questions, and be part of the conversation as CSAIL builds the future of technology.
The first lecture in the series will feature Associate Professor Phillip Isola discussing The Platonic Representation Hypothesis. In this talk, he will argue that representations in different deep nets are converging and discuss the implications of these trends, their limitations, and counterexamples to our analysis. Professor Isola’s CSAIL Forum discussion will take place on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 12-1PM EST. Registration is required.
Stay tuned for details on upcoming speakers!
