Dr. Mok Oh is a tech industry veteran with over 25 years of leadership experience alongside a decade in post-graduate academic research. In late 2023, he co-founded Foundation EGI, serving as CEO alongside MIT alums Prof. Wojciech Matusik and Mike Foshey.
Previously, Dr. Oh served as CTO, Head of Product, and Board Member at Mercari (IPO 2018), overseeing engineering, product management, and UX design. As Corporate Vice President at Samsung Electronics' Mobile Division, he led Global Business Development, Strategy, and Marketing for Software & Services, playing a foundational role in initiatives like Bixby and DeX. His career also includes roles as Chief Scientist at PayPal, EIR at North Bridge Venture Partners, Analyst at Andersen Consulting, and founder of several startups.
Dr. Oh holds a Ph.D. from MIT, an M.S. from the University of Pennsylvania, and B.A. degrees in Computer Science and Art History/Studio Art from Oberlin College. He holds dozens of patents and is a proud husband and father of two.
