As a staff engineer/senior engineer through MediaTek's top-notch hiring program, you are expected to bring innovation to the company. This role is responsible for advanced technology research and development. We provide training, and a co-work buddy to help you adjust and settle in during the beginner period. You will start as a researcher, and brought into tasks and projects with time, and soon, you will start leading to deliver projects that span across one or more business units. You will make proposals based on your expertise and creativity, and it is important that your ideas matched our business focus and core values, and you have the key knowledge and skills to support your ideas to land. Responsibilities:

• Keep up with latest academic research/breakthrough and share information with the team.
• Analyze technical development in the industry and develop extensive knowledge for interdisciplinary application.
• Propose innovative ideas and provide key skills in leading this proposal to success.
• Define success criteria. Provide status report regarding milestones, estimates/deliverable, risks and issues. 
• Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication.
• Navigate interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs towards the benefits of project succeeding.
• Motivate all stakeholders and gain support to realize your vision.

Qualifications:

• EE/CS major, or other majors with a transcript showing the record of EE/CS requirements accomplished.
• Fresh PhD with no industry work experience.
• GPA from all degrees are 3.8 above out of 5.0 grading scale.
• Strong research publication record from top journals/conferences.
• Honorable advantages, such as top 3 winner of national contests, winner of Best Student, and etc., or with hold of an identity recognized by academia and industry, such as National Scholar, SRC Scholar, Google Scholar, and etc.
• Proven personal qualities of resilience and grit.
