Are you interested in an Intern opportunity with Philips? We welcome currently enrolled graduate (MS/PhD) level students to participate in 3 or 6 month paid intern opportunities at our sites across the US. Through these roles you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience in engineering for a HealthTech company.

In this role, you have the opportunity to:

At Philips, our Research Interns work on some of the most complex challenges in healthcare by utilizing your skills in different areas of heath technology research engineering.  As a Research Intern at Philips, you are the bridge between abstract concepts and the technology products used daily to touch the lives millions of other people around the world.

You are responsible for:

·       Help with ideation, development and implementation of WPs in Imaging Data Enrichment Project

·       Develop machine learning algorithms for multimodal data

·       Develop deep learning method for image and/or text data

·       Develop NLP algorithms for clinical note parsing

·       Contribute to publications resulting from the research

You are a part of:

You will be part of a team of engineering experts within our businesses who solve problems and build powerful new tools, ensure the best product quality, and develop a deep understanding of user needs and product requirements.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

·       Currently pursuing a PhD or MS in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical discipline.

·       Deep Learning, NLP, Machine Learning, C#, Python

·       Ability to derive creative and innovative solutions by thinking "outside the box"

·       Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions

·       Experience with algorithms preferred

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·       Collaborative/team spirit
