Your Challenge

At Philips, our Research Interns work on some of the most complex challenges in healthcare by utilizing your skills in different areas of heath technology research engineering.  As a Research Intern at Philips, you are the bridge between abstract concepts and the technology products used daily to touch the lives millions of other people around the world.

Position Responsibilities:

The project develops solutions for camera-based vitals monitoring of groups of people, making use of proprietary cutting-edge, world-leading contactless monitoring technology. The intern will contribute to expanding and improving solutions for camera-based patient identification using state-of-the-art science and technologies, with the aim of achieving an industry-leading balance between performance and complexity ready for clinical use. Focus will be on creating and improving functional value.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for top-notch students currently pursuing a PhD or MS in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or biomedical engineering/informatics who have experience with and a keen interest in computer vision and/or deep learning. Candidates must also

  • be proficient in C++ programming (C# experience is a plus);
  • be comfortable with both Windows and Linux;
  • be excited about programming and experimentation;
  • be self-motivated and skillful in problem solving;
  • have the ability to derive creative and innovative solutions by thinking "outside the box";
  • have excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • have a collaborative/team spirit.
